Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

Fort Myers is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Fort Myers is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Florida's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

My family loves this cafe. They have amazing food and the atmosphere is so inviting. These are real artists making a living promoting art and serving delicious food. It's one of those once in a blue moon places you find by accident and then can't stop going back. They have the BEST tomato soup and grilled cheese and then they have a strawberry latte which is also the best thing ever.

We stopped in to check this place out...WHAT A GREAT DECISION!! From the minute we entered, we were met with super friendly staff, who explained the menu, and then guided us through the art displays! The chicken salad was amazing and the peaceful atmosphere made out lunch break SO enjoyable... You really need to visit this place but don't miss out on the DESSERTS 🤗

Awesome place! I don’t go around the Fort Meyers area often but this was a delight. The atmosphere was chill, and the staff was approachable and friendly. The coffee was amazing as well- I had the Cookie Crumble iced coffee and it was delicious! Such a unique place, and I’m glad I went. 😄😊

A wide variety of menu items - drinks and food - paired with diverse scenery at each table. This spot would be great for work lunch, coffee date, or to grab a quick pick me up off McGregor! Photo: chicken pesto, chicken salad

I love this place. It’s one of my favorite places to go whenever I have some time to myself. The food is great. The service is amazing And the staff is so friendly and remembers you. This is a perfect place to sit down, get something to eat, and get creative. It’s my favorite places to sit down and draw. When I’m done eating, I get up I’ll walk around and get to see some amazing art and even get some to take some back home. Ever since’s coming here not only have I had a good time, but I’ve always found A new little treasure or art piece to hang in my home. PS I recommend the swamp water. It’s my favorite Matcha drink.

I love this place! Aside from healthy and delicious food that is affordably priced, the atmosphere is unique and entertainingly artsy. There are fabulous nooks and crannies to discover throughout the premises that feature artwork by locals and the attached Daas Gallery offers an inspiring array of works to buy or just view for your art appetite. The staff are friendly and welcoming too. It's definitely one of my very favorite local treasures! (And did i already mention the food is delicious, lol?) Arts and Eats is not just a great place for brunch, it's an experience. 💖💖💖💖💖

This is one of my favorite place to eat and relax in Fort Myers! The food is excellent, and varied! And the cakes!!! Fabulous. The ambiance is extremely cosy and inspiring, with so much art. The service and the staff is always perfect, very attentive, and always smiling, even when they are extremely busy. They don’t treat you as a number, and do always the extra thing to satisfy their patrons.
